Goa Tourism showcases sustainable travel at SATTE 2025

The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, made a strong impact at SATTE 2025, with the grand inauguration of the Goa Pavilion at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. The pavilion was officially opened by Goa’s Tourism Minister, Rohan A Khaunte, who led the state’s delegation at the event. He was accompanied by Secretary of Tourism, Sanjeev Ahuja, IAS, and other key officials from the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) and the Department of Tourism.Running until today, the pavilion highlights Goa’s commitment to regenerative tourism, sustainable travel, and cultural heritage, presenting the state’s diverse tourism offerings beyond its famous beaches. Minister Khaunte participated in a panel discussion with international tourism leaders, including dignitaries from Uzbekistan, Thailand, and Nagaland, as well as representatives from Informa Markets India and the STIC Group. The discussion focussed on global tourism trends and new opportunities for growth. Additionally, Khaunte met with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Tourism, Umid Shadiev, to explore collaboration opportunities and held B2B meetings with key industry figures.Speaking at SATTE 2025, Khaunte highlighted Goa’s vision for responsible tourism, focussing on sustainability, experiential travel, and community-driven initiatives. “Goa has always been a pioneer in the tourism sector, and at SATTE 2025, we are further strengthening our vision of responsible and regenerative tourism.
